Interesting read, I guess, from Dodd. He repeats his choice of Saban as coach of the year, yet he has Scott Cowen as his "Man of the Year." He lists LSU among his "best candidates" for the national title, yet he lists one of the things he'd change about college football as no night games (plus he fails to include LSU among his tailgating list). http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/story/6594243
..... He sure as hell got this one right. When speaking to the fact Eli wont win the Heisman. "Eli Manning won't because his family, much less his team, hasn't won a damn thing."
Seems like LSU is becoming a trendy NC pick lately. Started with Corso last year and I have read two or three articles this year giving us a shot. If we can come in under the radar Ohio State style it would be great.
He doesn't have LSU on the tailgate list and doesn't wan't night games? Can you tell this guy has never been to Tiger Stadium? And if he has been he is f*cking retarded.
Those were deifintely nice words on Nick, it's nice to finally read some positive statements about LSU from the national media. For as long as I can remember, genuine accolades from the national press were almost impossible to find.
14. Coach of the Year Nick Saban, LSU. The NFL seems like a distant dream. Saban has committed himself to the Tigers, landing three big-time recruiting classes and winning an SEC title. Few teams have more talent year in and year out. He has money, facilities and a good boss, athletic director Skip Bertman. Saban is stern, organized and vicious when it comes to game planning. As long as Saban is at LSU, the Tigers will always be a threat to win the SEC. They might just do it this year for the second time in three years. Under Saban, watch 'em geaux. GEAUX SABAN!
