I realize any prediction this early is meaningless in many ways. However I think they show how a program is perceived. How the mighty have fallen. LSU is ranked 58 in this article; below even Tulane and Auburn. Actually I believe we are a 10-2 to 9-3 team but isn’t it sad to see how low some see us? https://www.actionnetwork.com/ncaaf/2022-college-football-betting-power-ratings
Action network is a couple of hacks that shoot out a podcast where they talk about who you should bet and why. Pretty funny but without reading the article I am going to say this is more tuned into some ats stuff. Meaningless is a good way to describe it.
I agree with you. However I haven’t seen a poll with us in the top 25 yet. It seems that the last two years wiped out the previous 15-20 as far as our reputation goes. It will be nice if Kelly turns things around this year. I would like to rub their noses in it.
I agree with you but understand the skepticism with people looking at the program. I think 10-2 would be great success but my expectation is more 9-3; 8-4 would be disappointing; 7-5 would be a big disappointment.
Meh, new coach, new staff, lots of turnover as usual it is to be expected if we aren't ranked very high. I actually like us not being in the top 25 to start the year. This will all shake itself out if we take care of business.
I would be mildly disappointed with an 8-4 season. 9-3 is achievable. I would be shocked if we go 10-2.
Realistically, I would say 8-4 and possibly 9-3 if things fall our way. There is still talent there, but getting the new coaching staff to become one cohesive unit takes time, and also getting the players to buy into the process isn't going to happen overnight. Clearly O didn't leave the program in the best situation, but the good news is we have a coach who's won everywhere he's been, so the future is definitely bright. I don't about everyone else, but I'm super excited about next season!
