Nope, just a knowledgeable football fan. I'll let you make your own appraisal about how much you know about the game.
I didn't say he was good....didn't say he was not good. What I have agreed 100% is the passing game is not good. That is not remotely the same thing that the QB is bad. Once again, the passing game is much more than just the QB. If you don't understand that, then I have made my own opinion about your football knowledge.
Hardly Grimes....Grimes took what Studrawa left him which was an underrecruited OL (4 OL in 2 years signed Studrawa's last 2 years, not Grimes fault). Grimes will be judged on who he recruits and coaches....his own players. So far, his recruiting is A+. But yeah, there is a coach who should be on the hot seat for 2 reasons. That is OC/QB coach Cam Cameron. To run the unimaginative offense in every regular season game but A&M....not acceptable. That is reason 1. Reason 2 is that as QB coach he is being paid a hell of a lot of money to develop QBs and make them better. So far, Mettenberger was good but still threw 3 INTs in the 1st half of the Ole Miss game in 2013. ZM was pretty good however to begin with. Now, we have him recruiting QBs as to which ones he wants at LSU. I think for a guy who earns well over $1 million in salary, getting the right guys here and improving their skillsets...not too much to ask. I would blame Adam Henry for the WRer miscues but I don't think he is causing Dural to slip down, the WRers to forgot the play call and block instead of looking for the ball, etc.
Apparently at least so far, James Smith doesn't exactly agree that Cole Kelley is a great QB prospect. He is counting down his ranking of the 2016 Louisiana prospects at this time and Kelley barely checks in the Top 40 at #40. And doesn't sound like he is with a bullet either. One thing JS says is that "his mobility leaves something to be desired."
That would be Mauck, Russell and Flynn, with an hm to Lee for those not quick enough to pick up on it.
