I've seen some film on La'el Collins and he's the best OL prospect from this state that I can remember. I really think he is going to open up as a 5* when Rivals' rankings come out next year. He very well could be the best prospect in the state.
Which is saying a TON. Rasco, Landry, Hilliard/Blue.. all potential 5* guys. Rasco is a 5* lock.. maybe top 10. Landry should easily be a 5* as well.
Just wanted to add a tidbit on DE Jalen Grimble who we offered. His brother Xavier is a commit to USC. They have family in LA and one of his cousins is Mingo. They will make a visit to visit the staff in the future.
OT La'el Collins RB Jeremy Hill Both got their verbal offers today. I updated the 1st post of this thread.
Alfred Blue got his too...I'm not sure if its commitable... Definitely out of the blue. How is that going to work with the big possibility of Lache/Storm and then Hill/Hilliard...
Just speculation at this point but it sounds commitable. Since he has been reclassified as a 2010 prospect instead of 2011, he is trying to graduate in 3 years instead of 4 which does not sound likely. So his grades must be real good but Prep School seems to be the logical solution. I could definitely see LSU take 3 RBs next year with the numbers we have pulled in the last few classes. 2-3 RBs would be my prediction for 2011 RB class. And give Blue a redshirt year so he has 4 years to play 4. This is all assuming he accepts the offer from LSU and Storm is still on his way to LSU. Maybe Miles is upset that the Storm camp decided to speak out but I doubt that is the case.
Sounds like Jarvis Landry is already recruiting for LSU. He hung out with Anthony Johnson and Lache a lot this week. opcorn:
