    based on the fact UNC has their best receiver and 2 best running backs missing, I would rate the D probably a B or maybe a B+.

    Ok. B it is. I think holding any BCS offense to 13 yards rushing in a half is pretty A+, but based on them having a bit of success in that last drive, I can see a B.

    i'll take a B first game, we're getting some young guys experience and being up 20 the edge is kind of off.

    once unc got to the 50 the d came alive

    Again, hard to gauge. On one hand, they have the full complement of O-linemen and their starting QB, but their impact players at WR and RB are not playing.

    I do agree our D-line has been playing like gangbusters. So I'm not sure if their best running backs would have done a lot better.

    Wow...more vanilla offense. They had a long pass, yes, but then hand-off on third and long.
