As much as I have been glued to the recruiting phase of everything, I was looking very closely at our schedule and I truly believe we can win a National Championship. We should at least be in a BCS Bowl Game. Our schedule is easier in my opinion than it was last year strictly because of the road schedule that was brutal. I realize we play Spurrier, Beamer, Meyer, and Saban. All of those coaches have made it to the big show. Regardless, if we were to land JM and TT, the only thing that can keep us from winning is us. Matt Flynn has never once had a performance that made me think he was not a good QB. With the weapons we have I believe Flynn could go in the first 3 rounds. We will see. What do yall Tiger fans think?:crystal:

I absolutely agree. We should definately be a contender for the NC, whether or not we land JM and TT. The talent is already there. It won't be an easy season - the SEC never is. But if the Tigers play well, we should definately be in the running.

Well said but I wouldn't mind a little icing on the cake. :yelwink2:

We could win every game with no recruits coming in I believe. Might not be the most logical thing, but we could do it. I feel like VT is going to tell us where we stand.

with the way the schedule is and barring injury, LSU will be the favorite in every game they play this year.
they just gotta take care of business!!!
i think a lot will depend upon flynn and the O-line and the play of the safeties on defense.
I really think our D will be just as solid next year, meaning if the offense can churn out some points LSU will be tough to beat.

VT, AU, and Fla. games will be the big ones. get two out of three of those and don't do anyhting stupid against the pigs or saban and the tigers could go 11-1 or 12-0.
and just like previous seasons, the auburn game will be the most important game of the season.

that's my positive take on next season...

my negative is we go 8-4 or 9-3.

my realistic take is we go 10-2 :)

Most of the recruits will be redshirted, there is a lot of talent ahead of them. We have a favorable schedule with all of our toughest SEC games at home and top-10 VT, too. It's the right schedule for a championship run.

On the negative side, we have to learn a new offense and break in a new quarterback. Both do-able, but it could cost us a game or two.

True, but the early test with VT might be that game. We have a history of struggling in early OOC games against quality opponents. It'll be a good test, and we should defnitely not overlook them

    Contained Chaos Don't we all?

Not to mention the fact that the stout VT defense will give us a real test and prepare us for conference play.

It is certainly the right schedule, but I totally disagree with you on the breaking in the quarterback part. He played an ok game with MIA..I was there, maybe I missed something. In all of his duties he has performed great. I also talked to someone on the LSU staff and it was neck in neck as far as JR and MF during spring camps..I can't see Flynn needing to be broken in since he is now a senior. No, he hasnot consistently played QB for us, but I think he will no doubt be one of the top 10 QB's drafted

:crystal: 2007 National Championship (If you look really close it says LSUUUUUU)
