Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Dec. 30, 7:30 pm ET ESPN … Miami vs. LSU
The Eva Longoria, or, the obvious reason why this is beautiful: Each of these teams could easily be in the BCS and no one would blink. LSU might have problems on offense depending on the status of QB JaMarcus Russell, but the defense will be jacked up after the SEC championship loss to Georgia. Miami’s defense is ranked third in the nation in total defense and second in the country in scoring D.
The "but she has a good personality,” or, the inner beauty: These two teams will be on the short list for the 2006 national title favorites. If you believe that bowl games are the stepping stone to the following season, this is an important battle that could be next year’s national championship matchup.

Until Petey leaves USC, I am plugging them in as one of the two favorites every year for the NC game. Seems like he just plugs the new players into his system and they keep rolling.

    You all are idiots.

The 2006 National Champion is already playing in the Capitol One Bowl against Wisconsin.

Didn't you hear? They are already claiming it

I would be very surprised if we make it to a BCS game next year. With three very tough road games and the seniors we lose on both sides of the ball. They are doing that b/c both fan bases are pissed they ended up in the Peach bowl. Wait do the Canes of a fan base.:hihi:

Even after a very sloppy loss we still get some love. It's good to be a Tiger.

Happy with the flattery, but I think the tough road schedule makes it less likely. Unless we can change to the Pac 10. :)

I think CFN.com pimps LSU still because...they've pimped them all year long, so consistency is the key for them.

Seriously, I don't think LSU has any more right being labeled a serious NC contender in 2006 than Tenn did this season: the road schedule is too tough, and even the home OOC game versus Arizona may cause problems.

No way. Reggie Bush is a huge reason why they've been undefeated the past two season, especially this year.

A pretty respectable 2006 sched bites them in the ass in 2006. Once they lose the Rose Bowl---and they will---I think they start 2006 in the top 5, but not in the top 2 (remember, polls are so much hype as anything).

If VY stays at Texas, and I think he will, UT is a clear #1. Heck, ND may start the season #2 with a Fiesta Bowl win.
