This year is shaping up to be another great season for the Tigers. I for one can honestly say that I did not think we would be National Champs this time last year. All the talk this year is who's gonna be the best team in the SEC, Georgia or LSU. This is my take on the Tigers this year...Defensively, I think we still end up the #1 or #2 team at seasons end. Even though we lost a top player in Lavalais I still think we will still be able to impose our will on other teams. The defensive scheme that is in place will ensure our success. On the other hand, our offense is still a big question mark. With all the talent we have on offense , it baffles me why we were not more successful (against the better teams) last year. I've seen many on this forum sing the praises of Jimbo Fisher, I for one am not convinced of his coaching abilities. Regardless, I can't wait until the home-opener against Oregon St. This will a good measuring stick of how the Tigers will do this year. :geaux:
Jimbo will adapt the offense to the talent he has available. Rohan was at the helm of some awesome firepower but would you have ever thought that Matt Mauck would have thrown for 28 TDs and almost 3000 yards?
