What does our 2004 Football Schedule look like so far, I know we're still looking for a September 4 opponent. I'm trying to plan a fall vacation around our season. Thanks for the help. :geaux:

LSU and National Champions in the same sentence. God, I love it!

Wait til next season when you hear a talking head refer to LSU as the Defending National Champions.

I just plan on checking the OSU and Temple websites daily for word on that situation. OSU had to first find a replacement for the originally scheduled owls before being able to commit to us for that date. If and when a replacement is found for temple, things should move quickly to solidify the potential matchup. I believe OSU set a self imposed february 1st deadline, so we should know within 10 days or so.

    Temple Athletic site....

    Oregon State athletic site....

Hopefully we'll get more love from the BCS SoS thing cuz we go @ UF, @UGA, then @ Auburn.

Why would OSU drop Temple to play us at LSU which would give them only 5 home games. I am going out on a limb here and say this is not going to happen

One of the posters on their board actually said that our payout would be about the same amount of money that a home game against Temple would draw (not sure if that is possible). They don't draw big crowds, and probably don't charge much for admission.

Plus they get exposure to the south, more national exposure for playing a top program, experience in playing in intimidating environment, and playing a tough team early on will help them later in the season.
