2003 National Championship ring for sale??

LSU memorabilia some of you collectors may be interested in.

Looks like it was a staff member. Hell, I'd buy it if I could. Current bid is $6,100, with a buy it now price of over 10k.

I saw it the other day though. It was apparently an old coaches.

 

Maybe it's jimbo's, and he needs it to offset the pay cut he took.

 

Didn't he just get a fat raise that put him close to what he was making? Seems like I read something on ESPN talking about him getting a raise before even really coaching.

 

I saw earlier this week as well. The initials were JB. I took it meant Jeff Boss, the deceased equipment manager.

 

Could be, at first glance, it's hard to imagine the family doing that knowing what he meant to LSU football and having the locker room named after him but who knows, the money could be well spent for his daughter's college (She must be about that age now, she was 13 when we lost him- and it (The ring) could have a very significant contribution to her long term well-being. :thumb:

 

I think I remember hearing that all of their rings had JB's initials on them.

 

Probably so, they dedicated the '03 season to him and could have put JB on their rings like they did the backs of their helmets. :thumb:
