2 points, Nick could change his mind. LSU was never his dream job.

Supposedly in 99 after accepting the LSU job and telling MSU he was leaving, he had a change of heart and asked the President of MSU he would come back to MSU if MSU matched LSU's offer. The President of MSU said no.
Now if you read Nick's autobiography and other stories he talks about crying after telling LSU he'd accept or MSU he was leaving. Supposedly in his book he cried after that phone call. Well, he cried because MSU was Nick's first dream job. If you read stuff back in the 90's you can find it. I doubt we'll ever find a book with Nick crying his eyes out after he told Skip he was leaving.

But, Nick could have a change of heart between now and then, but like in 99 it could be too late.

His dream jobs were Michigan State and a job in the NFL with total control of football operations. Now Nick did well at LSU and it most likely exceeded his expectations. Now he did a good job at LSU and won a national championship. Folks shouldn't be mad at Nick. He delivered and he left LSU in much better shape. LSU fans, myself included, shouldn't be angry at Nick or feel betrayed.

Nick never betrayed LSU. He never came to LSU with talk about this being his dream or where he wanted to stay forever and raise a family and so on. He came in a hired gun, and he left a hired gun.

Good luck Nick. If there's anyone who can win in the NFL, it's him. I suspect he'll win a superbowl or at least make an AFC championship game.

Saying it doesn't make it so. Neither MSU or LSU were Nick's 'dream jobs'..don't fool yourself.

YOU?!!! An LSU fan? Your a$$ hurts. You're nothing more than some Big 10 sh!t-stirrer that shows up at inopportune moments. I believe you really are Ralph Wiggum.

Thanks for the complement about being Ralph Wiggum. I will cheer for LSU against Iowa and I always cheered for LSU before, after, and during Nick's days--I got my reasons that have nothing to do with Nick. I really don't have to prove my LSUness to you.

He could spend leave for another job, if he wins big in Miami he could go somewhere else. Think Jimmy Johnson, not Steve Spurrier.
