If LSU wins the rest of their games is two losses to two top 5 teams that bad?? LSU has only been a football powerhouse again since 2000. And in those 6 seasons we've only done better then 2 losses twice. I think everyone wants them to win every game but thats hard to do in the SEC, its even harder when at least 3 of them were NC contenders. I don't know about anyone else, but if LSU averages only 2 losses per season for the next decade or so thats a damn dominant program if you ask me.
Good post. We lost to #2 and #5, we were rated below both teams. We were in the game with both. Defense plays tough, running game is not there. We are doing ok, not great. We have to improve next year to contend for a national championship. What may be so frustrating is we could have beaten Auburn and Fla. We have to improve on special teams and limit turnovers. Gotta improve in defense and not blow coverages.
Agreed....good post. I can't tell you how many times during the 90's I would have taken 2 or 3 loss seasons and been happy. I realize there is a new standard here, but LSU isn't the only college pouring $$ and resources into it's football program. As we have seen over the last couple of weeks, the difference between 4-2 and 6-0 is a few plays by 18-22 year old kids/men. Keep the faith....we still have an opportunity for a really good season.:geauxtige
Good post. Glad to have someone put everything in perspective. 2 loses per year, almost guarentee's a possible BCS bowl against a top notch opponent, which helps recruiting, which keeps us good talent, which keeps us winning 9 ,10 or 11 games a year. GEAUX TIGAHS!!!
Great Post. If LSU wins out it will be another great year and a top 10 finish in the polls with a possibility of a BCS bowl. :geauxtige
I agree, that is if a team is just plain better than you and you played a very solid game against said top team. But what is frustrating is knowing that you have a sickly talented team and mental errors at crucial parts of the game completely change the scope of the game and now you are fighting an uphill battle just to get back in the game again. I don't think you will get an arguement from most on whether a 10-2 or 11-2 season is good or not, but I think most are frustrated from the reason given above.
I agree with you 100%. I think we are a lot better than we have shown, but such is the game of football. The least talented teams sometimes come out on top, and that is why we play the game on the field. It is frustrating (I did throw a 1/2 full drink out the back door Saturday) as you say. But we can still hold our heads high on Sunday's knowing we have a top notch program.
IF your aunt had a penis, she'd be your uncle. Stick a fork in Miles & Co ... they're done for the year. Mental Masturbation is best when practiced alone. Losses at Tennessee & Arkansas and maybe even Fresno State or Bama or another spoiler. 7-5 or 8-4 ... IF LSU IS LUCKY ... 8 wins ... 3rd Place in the SEC WEST ... IF LSU IS LUCKY. Run the table  ... what a gasser Help Mac Pack, Help Mac Pack, Help Mac Pack, Help ... oh, sorry ... a flashback Help Les Pack, Help Les Pack, Help Les Pack, He didn't do Jack, Help Les Pack!!!
