Curiosity is natural to 5 year olds. Whatever two 5 years might do together is long forgotten by the time they are 6 or 7. If you put your kid in counseling over it that might just serve to reinforce the memory, bring about shame and guilt, and cause traumatic feelings here there otherwise would be none.
I am just saying that at 14, there are plenty of years left to have help and change. Who knows, this kid could be the next Dexter of little kids, but our society runs on the ability to make amends for your mistakes.
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. These kids are so sexually repressed that it isn't shocking that Josh was experimenting when he was a 14-year-old horn dog. The shocking part is the age of the youngest victim and that they are his sisters. Maybe if he had actually been allowed to go to school outside of the family compound, he would have experimented with a girl his own age without his own last name.
Well said. Having that happen to a daughter (not speaking about yours, specifically) beats her licking tacos.
Says you, if my daughter ends up being a lesbian that significantly decreases the chances of an unwanted pregnancy.
Excellent. Blame the victims. What would you have them do NOW? Perhaps they received counseling at the time or they have been dealing with it in a way that works for them....it isn't about you or what you want or think. How would coming forward in a very public forum discussing what happened to them sexually when they were small children help them in any way?
No. Let me help you with the realities of sexual abuse and molestation. "Family structure is the most important risk factor in child sexual abuse. Children who live with two married biological parents are at low risk for abuse. The risk increases when children live with step-parents or a single parent Children living without either parent (foster children) are 10 times more likely to be sexually abused than children that live with both biological parents. Children who live with a single parent that has a live-in partner are at the highest risk: they are 20 times more likely to be victims of child sexual abuse than children living with both biological parents Race and ethnicity are an important factor in identified sexual abuse. African American children have almost twice the risk of sexual abuse than white children. Children of Hispanic ethnicity have a slightly greater risk than non-Hispanic white children....and, The risk for sexual abuse is tripled for children whose parent(s) are not in the labor force. Children in low socioeconomic status households are three times as likely to be identified as a victim of child abuse. Children who live in rural areas are almost two times more likely to be identified as victims of child sexual abuse. Children who witness or are the victim of other crimes are significantly more likely to be sexually abused." Perhaps some of those could be found within a fundamentalist Christian area, family, or region but they don't define fundamentalist Christians. http://www.d2l.org/site/c.4dICIJOkGcISE/b.6143427/k.38C5/Child_Sexual_Abuse_Statistics.htm
Grandchild > Lesbo DIL. Common theme, it seems. To always be 2 or 3 times "more likely" than whites- in all the wrong categories- no wonda they white folk. http://hsrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KLtc5tp2dVj9MAYpWbvZx4;_ylu=X3oDMTNzODJqZ2tvBGJwb3MDMQRjY29kZQNnYQRjcG9zAzMEY3QDMQRnAzU5NDg2MDIxLTI3NGItMzI1Ny1hYmE3LTk3NmNjNzdiMTQ0MQRpbnRsA3VzBGl0YwMwBHBrZ3QDNARwb3MDMQRzZWMDdGQtc3RybQRzbGsDdGl0bGUEdGVzdAM5MDE-/RV=1/RE=1434066029/RH=aHNyZC55YWhvby5jb20-/RO=2/RU=aHR0cDovL3F6LmNvbS80MTQ0NTQvdGhlLXVzLXNjaG9vbC1zeXN0ZW1zLXRyZWF0bWVudC1vZi1ibGFjay1raWRzLWlzLWEtbmF0aW9uYWwtc2NhbmRhbC8-/RS=^ADAGJZ.dMYH2htAOnmJPi7ogPzw40U-
