come on people with 2 hurricane's and a first year head coach we go 10-2 and are going to a bowl game yet there are still "fans" out there who are bashing the coaching staff. i mean really its the mans first year here do you remember the "great" nick saban who everyone love to talk about. remember his first year?? 8-4 and lost to UAB anyone remember that?? miles in his first year so far is 10-2 and got us to a SECCG, and is the first lsu coach to beat florida, bama, and auburn all in the same season. and we have people who can see the future and say lsu won't be any good with the coaching staff we have rite now, we won't win the sec title we wont even win the west title. people this is only the third SECCG that we have been in since they had an SECCG (it was first played in '92 i think) miles reached it his first season im not defending the coaching staff im disappointed as everybody else is i see problems too but then again im not a coach and all im sayin is that its the man's first year and 10-2 isn't a total lost, and some of the problems aren't entirely coaching. give the man a chance or would we rather go back to our good old jerry dinardo years huh??
Excuses... :dis: We are 10-2 YAY!!! Tennessee Loss i can chalk up to Hurricane... Georgia loss i chalk up to poor coaching and playing, plain and simple
Just goes to show how LUCKY we were for the wins against Auburn Alabama Arkansas. We are not that good this year, hate to say it but our offense is predictable and our defense is our only saving grace. We should have 4 or 5 losses that is what last night showed me. God I hope we don't play Virginia Tech they will probably humiliate us.:cuss:
I don't believe we are lucky to be 10-2; we earned the record. But we looked unemotional and unprepared yesterday, and there is no excuse for entering the conference championship game in that condition.
I don't think we were lucky to beat Fla., Aub, and Bama. You have to suit up and play the games, we did, and we earned each of those hard fought victories. I am happy and proud of our team. Saban had the same club last year, with Spears, Webster, and Daniels, and we 9-2 regular season. Russell improved at QB, has a great arm, but in the SECCG, he forgot some of the lessons he learned and took sacks when he should have thrown it away. There was a great post this week, about how our receivers are not the best in the nation (fast, but drop balls), and our running backs are pretty average. Without Broussard, that was true. We don't suck, we performed to our potential, IMO. I predicted the regular season 9-2, we beat that by a bit. Made it to the SECCG, lost there.
It's OK, people are just venting. They're frustrated and just expressing their fear that if LSU isn't contending for a national championship every year, they will have no reason to get out of bed in the morning. :bncry::bncry: Odd, I know, but there really are people that tie their self-worth and enjoyment of sports to the success of a school they either happened to go to, or (for even more of these) happen to live by.
Live in Baton Rouge and you will not have the same attitude. Losing affects the mood of this city. If don't believe me, drive around with me this week on sales calls. In 2003, I had one of best years. BTW, you sound like you were a Dinardo Apologist?
