That is less than I thought it would be opening at. Winning the cotton bowl would be a great way to end the season. We are forunate to be playing a top ten team. GEAUX Tigers!
I figured closer to 20. I think at close it will be 17 points. Everyone I have read and seen on ESPN predicts us to get blowout...
I agree Tigerfan, we are lucky to be playing in the Cotton bowl against a good team. And I also don't blame UT fans for being disappointed that they have to play us. Our team has not shown that it could play with a team like Texas. Our fans would feel the same way if they had brought a lower caliber team to play us in the Sugar Bowl.
Yep and if I wasn't a Tiger fan and didn't know what this team is capable of, I would predict a blow out as well. BUT, I remain confident that if this team can get some sort of consistancy on offense, we can stay with anyone. But losing 3 out of our last 5 games does not look too good... Hopefully, this month of rest will help us pull it together. Realistically, I think that we are the 4th best SEC team (with UGA, AU, and Bummer ahead of us). I think that if we lined up 10 games against Arky, FL, KY, TN, USC, OM, MS, or Vandy, we beat them at least 6 of 10 games. So where does UT fit in their conference? Are they the 2nd best behind Oky? Or are they the 4th best team and it turns out that this Cotton Bowl is actually a realistic pairing of the conferences?
Also lets be honest, we are a helmet off the head interception and a Hail Mary pass away from losing 5 out of the last 5. However I have Faith !!! (Must have faith)
ESPN did not even metion LSU in their analysis. No one is giving us a chance. Just the way we like it. http://espn.go.com/ncf/s/2002-03_bowls.html#
