1 extra ticket to Bob Knight's attempt to break Dean Smith's record

Bob Knight will be trying to pass Dean Smith for the title of winningest NCAA men's basketball coach. I have one extra ticket for the TTU\UNLV game on 12/28. 5th row off the floor, behind the basket, visitors bench side. I don't need a place to stay, don't need money, don't need a "date". Family is out of town, just don't want to waste the ticket. If you have family or friend in Lubbock, PM me. If I don't hear something soon I will offer it to my daughter's basketball coach.

Thanks for the offer but I can't imagine too many Tiger fans would care to see Bobby Knight do anything...other than die.

LSU was one game away from the Final Four in New Orleans and pounding Indiana when Bobby Knight went nuts. He beat on the scorer's table, cursed at the officials, wouldn't return to the bench, etc., etc., etc. The end result was one technical foul, no ejection, and a complete one-sided officiated game after his tirade.

He ultimately cost us a chance to play what was essentially a home Final Four and then got lucky with a last second shot to win the title. Some would call that great coaching. I call it cheating and there is no way in hell I would ever let my child play for him.

Sure son! You can play for Coach Knight and become a great player. It's okay if you become a jackass for life. At least you'll be a good player. NO THANKS!

So, you are not gonna find a poor kid and give him the ticket and take him to the game, and then challenge all on this forum to do the same :lol:

 

Look, I am trying to GIVE a ticket away to folk who could afford to buy their own if they had any interest in this game whatsoever. The ticket is ALREADY bought and paid for, I never intended for the person who would be sitting next to me to have to pay for it. My family decided they would rather go to Colorado instead of this basketball game and the Cotton Bowl. It would be disingenuous for me to try to profit on something that I did not purchase as an investment to help pay for their trip. This is a game of historical significance, I just wanted to share the experience. I come offering such a value and I am met with indifference. Maybe instead of offering Seat 14, if anyone takes me up on this gift, they will have to sit in Seat 13. Yeah, that will show you all.:lol:

The other thread today is what drove my response. Reading that one today, really made my day. And not knowing you, you just may be a disturbed individual. I know I am sometimes. :lol:

 

If I hadnt spent 20 hours on the road during christmas weekend I would drive up there and go, because unlike most people I like Knight. First time I saw him was the 84 Final Four in the Dome.
