Latest word on DeAngelo Benton is not good, so that may push us to a definite 3 WR's in this class. I don't see us going up to 4 though.

Also, it looks like we may be adding another DB to the class, in which case perhaps Calhoun is being looked at as a WR...

:geaux::crystal::helmet: Assume the not so good news on Benton is grades? If so, that is a shame. Was really looking forward to seeing him on the field this year.

Regarding Calhoun, is he still considered a solid commit for LSU? Thought I read in a post somewhere a few weeks ago that he wasn't that solid. I hope that was wrong because he seems to be highly regarded and would be a great addition to the '09 class. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

Grades/ACT, but its just rumor for now.

I think he's solid, but UGA fans think he'll switch.

    Revised:

1 TE - I'm feeling good about Wilson
3-4 DLine - At the moment, I'm not seeing another DE in this class.
3-4 LBs - I could see us going with just one more (Mingo).
3-4 OLine - IMO, we get one more OL in this class (looking good with Su'a-filo right now), the question is if Orelus sticks.
    3 DB's - We're still recruiting a lot of them, but I am sticking with 3.
2-3 WR's - I'm inclined to say 3, but it depends on who the third would be
    2 QBs
2 RBs - we're still in it with Richardson, but don't see him switching. If he did we'd take 3.

    That makes 19-23 recruits.

I agree with all of that.

I think Sentimore has the speed to play DE if needed.

I don't expect Orelus to waiver.

I think we will end up with 3 WRs (Randle, Bell, and Patterson)

Saw a report about a possible FB in this class but I think we will end up offering Cody Ledford (the FB/LB tweener).

    That's true.

I'm feeling much better about him now than I was. We still have to consider the possibility.

Patterson is very possible, or maybe Appleton. I'd sure love to get DeBose.

Yea, I saw that as well, but Ridley is a Hester type player & can play FB & RB. Plus, Crowton doesn't use the FB a whole lot so I'm just not sure the need there.

I don't see us offering Ledford.

Ridley was originally recruited as a FB/LB before they saw his athleticism so I feel pretty confident they would save a scholarship by using him there, if needed.

He's mostly been used at tailback thus far, but I think he could easily do both RB & FB.
