Re: RB Bryce Brown The plot, mais its gettin' tick yeah : By JORGE MILIAN Palm Beach Post Staff Writer Tuesday, February 17, 2009 CORAL GABLES — The University of Miami no longer wants Bryce Brown. A UM source said Tuesday night that the Hurricanes will not reissue a scholarship offer to Brown, a running back from Wichita, Kan., ranked as the nation's No. 1 prospect by Rivals.com. The national letter of intent UM faxed to Brown on Feb. 4 expires today. UM can send Brown another letter of intent, but will not. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/search/content/sports/epaper/2009/02/17/0217brown.html
Re: RB Bryce Brown i have heard from my fraternity brother who is in miami that it's actually down to miami and LSU. I dont know if thats true but it makes since because the kid wants to win a championship and lets face it UT isnt going to be doing that anythime soon....i really dont know about him this is to fishy for me but i would take him...bur I really really want lache seastrunk next year and brown hurt that chance:huh:
Re: RB Bryce Brown I'm with you gely. I want Lache Seastrunk. I'm sure that every school that is on Lache's radar has at least a couple of really good backs, though. I don't think that having Bryce Brown on LSU's squad would necessarily hurt our chances with him. Bryce Brown is the top RB in this year's class. You can't just let him slip through your fingers based on a RB that you may not even get anyway next year. I think CLM should make a run at BB and still recruit Lache just as heavily.
Re: RB Bryce Brown Lache is a different back than Brown...it shouldn't hurt his recruitment at all but it might. LSU would just need to sell him how they'd use his speed in the offense, kinda like a Reggie Bush. Brown at the RB spot, no problem, you'll play the slot that play Lache.
Re: RB Bryce Brown They did bring in Lamar Miller and Mike James but like you and Mastermind untill I hear Randy S say it then I believe they will still have a scholarship for him if not I would take him
Re: RB Bryce Brown Based on some of his comments about Tenn before his visit about them not having the players to compete for NCs year in and year out, etc.. I do not think Tenn is near the lead. Right now you have to say Oregon is in the lead based on him bubbling over them every chance he gets. I say it is a 3 way battle with no one knowing what is going to happen: Oregon, Miami, and LSU.
Re: RB Bryce Brown All we really have to go on are Brown's comments. Going by his comments I don't see how we could come to any other conclusion than that Oregon is the leader. He gushes about them every chance he gets. Hopefully distance will be a factor, but it's not like LA is all that close to Kansas either (and neither was Miami). The real interesting part about all of this is that if Miami has been eliminated because they won't reissue the scholly, then why would he choose Miami for his last official visit? Was that decision made before the Miami decision to pull the offer? We need a timeline.
