no one is placing any team based only on 1 game. Tx and OU have the same record. if Tx had even one more loss the h2h wouldnt be an issue.

I honestly don't think anyone will vote USC or Texas as a protest vote. I do see them annoiting Utah as the AP champ though. They did slaughter a former #1 team that was up there for longer than any other team this season.

The only team that can cry is Utah because no one has beaten them this year. USC? no...they lost, Texas? no...they lost, Tex Tech? lost. They all need to stop crying. they didn't make it, Fla and OU did.

Then, they should have had no problem going undefeated...yet they didn't. case closed.

I agree, but by what most people are saying on this thread than Neither Florida or Oklahoma should be crowned champions, as they both have one loss as well. I was simply pointing out that they do have just as much as a case as all the others since they only have one loss.

Bottom Line is that the NCAA is sticking with the BCS for the time being and all teams know the rules of the BCS and their Conference. There is a 5th BCS game to crown the National Champion, period. I can't imagine that anyone that roots for the Tigers on this board cares a darn about the AP poll. After we won our first BSC Nation Championship Title in 04 and the AP picked USC #1 there was 1 single LSU fan that thought that the Title should be shared.

Sux for Texas... The Pac 10 doesn't have a Conference Championship game and the strenght of schedule for Utah holds them back.

Florida or OU will be our National Champion (which pains me to say) since these 2 teams are in the National Championship game.

It wasn't necessarily a BCS rule that kept them from the game. It was the Big 12 rule that had BSC rankings deciding the tie breaker for their conference championship.

Lot's of teams have the right to complain about being left out of the Championship Game because college football has the worst system on Earth at determining the champion.

No team has a right to claim a National Championship other than the winner of the Championship Game because that is the system they all agreed to and until they step up and force a change then that's the way it is.

I'd have probably put UT in the conference championship game, myself, so I guess I'm contradicting my argument. But I wouldn't consider them for the NC because of the way the Big12 choose their champion.

Maybe but it is better than the paper champions of the past. At least it tries to get 1-2 together even if they make it there on paper. I'm not defending the BCS...just remembering all of the could have beens in the past when conference champs were locked into their bowls with very little chance of 1-2 ever meeting on the field..
