Can they break the record by the Bulls (72-10)?

I got 73-9. They would have to go 46-7 to do that.

They are on pace to go 76-6.

I think the Sox can win 90-95 games this year.
A couple of breaks go their wa, and 100 is not imposible.
Of course if injuries pile up, somewhere around 80 is also possible.

You bit the cheese and had them winning in the mid 70s last year, too.

Allen, Garnett and Pierce are all in their 30s. They won't want to chase it and they'll drop 14-16 games just on the back ends of the 4th game in 5 nights, etc...

Injuries did play a part last season with Garnett out for about a 10-14 day stretch and a couple of other players as well.

If they stay healthy AND they care about the record, then they could do it. Otherwise, you are correct, a high 60s win total is probably in the offering.

I assume I jinxed them. Again.

    Sorry Celtics fans.

But you did go on to win the championship. Deja vu?

it will be VERY hard for them to beat the Cavs this year.

If not for PJ Brown (gone) in Game 7 and LeBron not having a 2nd scorer (Mo Williams), Cleveland would have beaten them last year.

The C's depth is worse this year and their stars are a year older.

Cleveland has more gunners and their stars are a year closer to their prime.

If Cleveland loses to Boston this year, it will be the last time they do.

Beginning at the very latest next year, you'll see Cavs in 5-6 games over Boston, ala the old Detroit/Chicago series when Detroit won a few, aged, then lost to the best player's team once he got some help.

I fully believe the Cavs will secure LeBron as a lifelong Cav in the upcoming offseason.

    Sorry, Knicks, it ain't happening.
