God help us with JL at QB vs NS and the Alabama defense.

I personally think Bama is overrated. The key for this game will be all the pressure they put on Lee. For goodness sakes he was 8/19 with a pick against freaking Tulane!

Here's hoping that our defense comes to play and makes it a 17-14 type game with the Tigers coming out on top.

    JL scares me!

Lee had about 4-5 passes that should have been caught as well.

Lee is a red shirt freshman and is playing how red shirt freshmen usually play. Actually he's playing better than most.

The real problem is this horrid defense. It's a slow, read and react defense that gives up a lot of yards and points. It's uncreative, ineffective and lacks the traditional LSU nastiness that we've all come to love.

I hope Miles learns from DiNardo and doesn't make the same mistakes. Hopefully he's putting on a great front for recruiting purposes and plans to clean defensive house at the end of the season.

To late to fix the defense at this stage??? Why can't we at least play more man to man & play the safetys deep, prevent the big play... if its to hard to play make it simple.. this is your man - stay with him... !!!!

Last seasons defense was scary in much the same way but somehow they mananged to figure it out and get some stops. The biggest problem this season is the big plays. WAY too many.

The linebackers are slow and terrible in coverage, so either take them off the field in passing situations or stop sending them in coverage. Run them at the QB. Could we ever disguise a blitz? It would be nice for us to try to confuse the QB instead of ourselves. I do not understand why the defense is so terrible this year. I am starting to feel that maybe the "talent" is overrated. Sometimes the defensive players look slow.

I mentioned the Slow thing about three weeks ago but CPasco said we had all the speed we need.. To me they are slow, or are not running at top speed... - slacking...

    It's definitely not speed.

It's the DC's giving the other team obvious mismatches to exploit (e.g., Beckwith covering Harvin). I bet if you asked privately the opponent's OC's what they thought about our defense it would be stuff you wouldn't want to hear.

They put the wrong players on the field. Get the goddamn linebackers off the field on 3rd down and long, all of them. EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM. Play 5, 6 or 7 DBs back in coverage. If you're gonna use a LB, just blitz them every time so at least they don't run into our DBs in coverage.

Play man to man 95 percent of the time. Your zone scheme sucks and confuses our players. We never had this problem before in pass coverage.

Show me a game this season where Bama plays more than 1/2 of football, and I'll be worried about our chances....
