Lets not forget Okie, I conjured up a few "spirits" and now have a few obligations to square up on. I think a good start would be confession on sat.
Yep, me too, and then I hafta put it on a vcr tape, then I transfer it to a dvd. Keep your mom around on Thursday:lol: :tigbas::tigbas::tigbas::tigbas::tigbas:
I moved a lot closer to the TV knowing I was either about to see another incredible comeback or watch the team's season end. Either way, I was going to watch proudly, this way was much much easier. :thumb::thumb:
I was at work but following the game a little, plus someone had a tv that I could check the situation. 3:30 I go out to leave, check the tv, still down 5-0. Figure it's over, but great season and bright future, small part of me says we still have 6 outs, we'll see. Turned on radio on the way home, stopped at a store but wait and listen as Gibbs is thrown out at home. Curse and figure it ain't meant to be, go into store. Come out and we're batting again, ball goes thru 2nd base glove, man on 1st. I get home and sprint in to turn on the tv in time to see Hollander single up the middle to make it 5-2, men on 1st & 2nd. Y'all know how the rest played out. When Dean hit it, I was screaming GET OUTTA HERE! When it hit the wall and bounced past the left fielder, I knew it was over. I was loud and ecstatic. So very happy for PM and the team, happy for Omaha too. The Tigers are still playing! Anybody have Hawthorne's call? I like to hear his reaction on these kind of events. :geaux:
I heard his call and it was Jim at his best. The way he called it he was trying to help it make it out the park! Then as each run crossed the plate he hesitates and there is silence as you hear him call each run home. It was great!!! When Dean walked up with the bases loaded I thought to myself this has to be the one person that Rice did not want to see at the plate with a change to tie or win the game and I was right for once.
I didn't get to hear it either. I was in NO East and I get about 95% static on 98.1 and WWL didn't have the game on. I didn't know we won until I got near Metairie and heard the post game show. And that pause between runs was when Hawthorn was doing his math. You know, 3+1=4,.....4+1=5,.....5+1=6,.....6>5!! TIGERS WIN! TIGERS WIN!
