Wow.......as long as an SEC team gets in the title game, I will be happy! I would like nothing more than another OSU ass whooping in the NCG.
I can't believe whaat I am seeing tonight. I figured OU might be able to beat Mizzou, but WVA losing to Pitt? Crazy. If OU goes on to win this game, it is going to be a crazy number of hours in the world of college football. Listening to the talking heads, the contenders for the 2nd spot in the MNC is as follows and in particular order: LSU OU Va. Tech UGA Kansas Sure, I am biased, but looking at that list, I think the only team that could possibly get an argument to go over us would be OU. Of course, this is the non-BCS, non-computer analysis here. It's just common sense. Where am I going wrong here? Talk to me. :hihi:
Well there are some happy folks here in Columbus Ohio right now....I am hoping for the same down there in Baton Rouge bout midnight.
The common sense approach would be: 1. Look only at conference champs (don't know why that rule wasn't made after NEB and OU beat out conf champs in 02?? and 03). That would rule out UGA and Kansas. 2. Look at head to head which eliminates VT. 3. Decide whether Hawaii, LSU, OU, or USC is most deserving. (ok ignore HI) Gotta like our chances right now if this holds, but the voters are unpredictable.
Hey guys...I keep on getting Database Errors when I click on links to pages in the forum (the page 1,2,3 etc or a link at the top) Anybody else getting this?
LSU has to be the top ranked two loss team, right? - Their two losses were in triple OT. - They beat four teams currently in the top 25, two in the BCS top 10. - They won Georgia's conference. - They beat the stuffing out of Va Tech. They clearly have the most compelling case. If you make an argument for each team, LSU's is clearly the strongest. Kansas hasn't beaten anyone. Not a single team in the top 25. Their case isn't really any better than Hawaii's. I mean, it's got to be LSU, right? PS - Go Sooners.
Pretty logical thinking. I think it will come down to OU, LSU and USC. Sadly, I think LSU might have looked the least impressive today of those three. Though I think LSU has the best losses.
Look at the full resumes, the way the basketball selection committee does. I guarantee you those guys would pick LSU. Herbstreet just said basically the same thing. Forget last week's polls. Look at the full bodies of work. Who is most deserving? LSU.
Man , this site must be getting bombarded with traffic! I am getting timeouts, can not connect, etc errors. Upgrade? Another server to do load balancing?? Anyhow, I have a question that is a little OT, but its worth a gander. Any lawyers here please give your input. It is a fact that college football is big money. After seeing with my eyes so many bad call by the officiating teams in several games today and many games through the season, when will the first lawsuit come for loosing a game due to blatant bad officiating? With the obvious video evidence, is it even possible?
