1. Re: Saban open to talks with LSU

I didn't click the link, but knowing the Bham news and their reporters there is no reason to open it.

IF there are comments about people in and around the program being nervous about Les leaving LSU it isn't true. The reporters may want to create some sense of controversy, and if they succeed so be it. Lord knows their track record for reporting things about the program and those reports being true are opposites of the most extreme.
  2. Re: A great blog pertaining to Les Miles(overall evaluation)

Miles gets an A+ at recruiting and getting assistant coaches that is for sure.
The man has alot to offer for any coaching job.
I think his "on the field" game management could use a little improvement though. and Im not alone in this, there's been talk of this in the media since his Okkie state days. but overall he's good.
  3. Re: Saban open to talks with LSU

    Wait a minute!

You just posted a link in this thread about Bama fans being nervous and you follow it up with describing their thoughts as hype? Geez, am I finding myself agreeing with this post I just quoted?
  4. Re: A great blog pertaining to Les Miles(overall evaluation)

No, he's letting history be his guide.:thumb:
  5. Re: Saban open to talks with LSU

    Is Saban's old house available?

this reminds me of "the prodigal son" story in the bible.

    LOL

son leaves wants his inheritance, falls on bad times, realizes he did wrong, begs to come home and do right. Pa takes him back and kills the fatted calf.

So do we have a fatted calf somewhere around campus or can we just make it pig and kill the razorbacks next yr as revenge and a late return feast?

that is of course IF it comes to pass. will be funny if it does.
  6. Re: A great blog pertaining to Les Miles(overall evaluation)

What's great about Miles is that he has alluded to this by saying he can do a better job at coaching. When someone is aware of what they can do to improve it usually translates into an above average manager.
  7. Re: A great blog pertaining to Les Miles(overall evaluation)

exactly! and that is why I have no issues with him staying, ( or leaving ) no one is perfect.
  8. Re: Coach Miles tells recruit he's staying at LSU

    Plans change....
  9. Re: Saban open to talks with LSU

I believe his house is still on the market. To the best of my knowlege, the previous owner (big time donor to LSU) let Saban buy the house way under market value (1/2 the value or so). However, if Saban ever sold the house, Saban would owe the previous owner the difference.

Now whether Saban eventually paid the previous owner what it was worth during his tenure here, I don't know.

MSU has one you could probably buy......but he has no "Lesticles" thanks to a certain coach.
