Every year I feel sluggish on the day after Thanksgiving, not ready for a big football game, and every year it seems Arkansas is a very tough game. Why do we have to play this game on Friday? I realize we get national exposure with the time slot but Tiger Stadium is a shadow of its normal self and the players always seem to be out of it, too.
I agree. Either do away with it or at least schedule it at night. We all know the tigers don't play very well during the day.
Post turkey gorging somnolescence. Actually the game that day gives LSU nice national exposure. This year, we had so much exposure that additional TV coverage wasn't that important. However, usually it's great for LSU.
Hey, I wasn't trying to beat up the team like lots of people are doing. Its just that the tigers at night are a different team. I'm not just talking about this tiger team, but every year. I don't know why, but that's just how it is. With that, go shake your head at ll the idiots wishing CLM would burn in hell as some posted on another thread.
I think we need to get rid of this mentality. We didn't play any worse than we did against Auburn at night. I don't read that garbage.
I realize you can say that the Arkansas players should be sluggish, too. But in recent memory the game has meant more to LSU in terms of a national title or SEC title than it has to Arkansas. I think our players have been somewhat complacent coming in to this last weekend, and it doesn't help that it's a short week and a day game. I just don't enjoy it and I can feel a real difference in the atmosphere.
