It took 2 big ones for Zook to go for it on 4th and 1, on the road at OSU, on OSU's side of the field against the Nations #1 defense late in the game. Zook has some big ones but Les' are bigger. I don't think I've ever seen a Big 10 coach go for it on 4th and 1, on the road, with the lead. Big Ten coaches always punt the ball in that situation. I think Zook borrowed a page from Coach Miles' play book on that one. Great call!!! :thumb: :milesmic:

I like Zook... even when he was at UF. I always thought it was sad how he never got much respect, kinda like Miles right now.

Good point, I just can't believe he went for it in side his 40 yd line with over 5 minutes left in the game. A huge call and play. Then drive the field to run out the lock. Great game!

This mightbe bigger than anything Les did this season.

I love coaches that play to win the game, not to lose them. He pretty much decided that he didn't want to give OSU another shot at tying it. Love how he put all that trust in his QB and O-line.

Miles had/has my respect, and I think that Miles is starting to get some of his much deserved respect.

I dont know about that... but it was from their own 30-40. That one play doesnt amount to the many plays that CLM has used his large lesticles on!:miles::milesmic::miles::milesmic::miles:

I bet one of Zook's coaches showed him they had already rushed for over 200 yards. Of course their QB Juice was guaranteeing they would make it. He showed his QB and players he believes in them. :thumb: I don't think Saban will will try that at Bama.

Hats off to Les on this one, but much "props" to RZ. I still think he got a raw deal here in Fla. He's a good coach, and with as many Fla kids as he drew up there playing for Ill, They're kinda like another SEC school...ala "northern" version! Ill will own that conference for a few years I think...OSU will be Zook's "bi*ch" for some years to come! Way to go Illini!!!!!!!!!
