I have a terrible confession. I didn't watch the second half. I was so disgusted, I left an $11 meal behind at the Sports bar at half time. My friends, I am the ULTIMATE fair weather fan. I am to be stripped of my rights to wear purple and gold, and to post on Tigerforums. May God have mercy on my soul. Mike VI too.
My dad and I were just on the phone, saying how both of us INSISTED that we were not watching the rest of the game after the punt return for a TD. He was in Baton Rouge, I in Plano, Texas, and we had the exact same thought. He apparently went to the back of the house for a few minutes, and I took some laundry out of the dryer. FWIW, I'm happy I watched the rest...as is my dad.
I left the room,I went to the store,I turned my head away many times. But I saw the very end of the game. You are not less of a fan, like me you are an emotional fan. It is hard for us to see our Tigers play poorly like they did most of the night. All is forgiven,we won. Now get back on that Tiger!!!!!!!!!!:thumb:
Somehow, i don't think you were the only one. The temptation crossed my mind when at some point in the third I noticed I was red, overheating, flustered, somewhat dizzy, and not even pacing yet.
I went and started cleaning the kitchen and looking for some alcohol to take shots off...i accomplished both, lsu won!
I turned the TV a lot. But that was due to nervousness more than anything. I made a call into Brett for an official pardon.
Dude, that's hilarious. He walked to the back of the house. Now THAT'S the kind of thing pissed off men do watching a football game. They get up and turn around, while pretending to be unfazed by the television. I've actually gone so far as to turn off the tv, and go check email. Magically, I wound up right back at my seat 10 minutes later. "Well, maybe they're not so deserving of my rejection. Let's see if they can re-earn my trus-OH MY GOD the opponent converted on 3rd down, back to the back of the house......well, let's see if they stop them on first do-OH MY GOD A SACK! I LOVE THIS TEAM! I AM PROUD OF THIS TEAM!" I don't think even hot women can make proud men act as emotional as a crazy football game can.
I turned off the TV and started listening to Jim Hawthorne like I generally do when things turn south for the Tigers. You're not the only one atreus.
