Agreed about Lafell, Flynn stats would look so much better if he could be consistent at catching the ball. Was a little sauced watching the Auburn game, but that was a hell of an assist on the interception. If he had caught that, we would have put the game away right there.

I can see it now, on the back of his jersey it says:
    THE TIGHT END

Editing my post about the tight end, use the tight end slipping out. Zinger and Dickson. It could be effective if the linebackers blitz.

Here are Bama's defensive numbers in the SEC...

Nothing special here. Even if they blitz, they don't get to the QB very often. Of course, our Oline has given up a lot of sacks.

    Scoring D - 6th, 20.8 ppg
    Pass D - 9th, 223 ypg
    Rush D - 5th, 131 ypg
    Total D - 8th, 355 ypg
    Sacks - 10th, 14

These numbers are a concern. Field position and penalties are important in a big game, as is turnovers. Both teams are good in TO Margin, LSU #1 and Bama #2.

    Punt Return - Bama 1st, LSU 9th
    Penalties - Bama 3rd, LSU 9th

    Re: TE IS GREAT!!

Dude our TE is awsome, Dickson i believe. Hes caught everything thats been thrown to him, although not much, but he always fights for those extra yards and is 100% reliable. I have no idea what Gary is thinking not throwing to this guy more, watch and see fellas, this guy really is good. Just needs more face time.

I hope that we can eliminate penalties... i wouldn't be surprised if we were dead last in penalties... And they always seem to come at the most critical times in the game, allowing the opp offense to continue drives or force our offense to have 3rd and 7 instead of 3rd and 2. Hopefully Tyson Jackson won't decide to beat down anyone on the head :thumb:

I want to see more of Dickson and Tolliver in the passing game. Sit Lafell for the first half for Byrd and Tolliver. I think all 3 of these guys will have great careers at LSU.

I really want to see the running game take off in the 2nd and 3rd qtrs to wear down the DL and LB's of Bama.

Hell, with our running game as is.. I expect us to dominate TOP. Control the clock against bama and we'll be fine.

Biggest priority of this game is no drive ending penalties.

Let's jump on them early so we can afford to bring the house and knock JPW on his rear.
