The talk around Columbus this AM is they do not want to play an SEC team in the BCSCG. That speaks loud for ASU or Oregon. A lot has to happen between now and Dec. 2nd: However if Oregon gets past ASU next weekend than they have the inside track to the BCSCG. Now if ASU beats Oregon and USCw steps up and beats ASU than the Pac TEN is out and the SEC is back in. Now tOSU has to win out. Dont forget about BC. All that being said, there is a lot of football left to play and anyone can beat anyone this year. LSU needs a big win this Sat. and win out. My head hurts.
BC has a good chance of being the only undefeated team at seasons end. Ohio St and Arizona St will each loose at least 1 game. I'm not too sure that Oklahoma ends up with only one loss. WVU and Oregon both have a good chance of winning out. As far us, if we don't start playing better we will have 1 or 2 more losses this year. I hope the week off helps but the 'Bama game will be tough. It seems to me that it will be BC vs Ohio St or Arizona St. Of course this is all speculation.
We play by BCS rules. Pride should keep any SEC team from pulling a titty baby stunt like USCw. Besides, the AP wouldn't give an award to the SEC. We ain't media darlings.
Kansas, Arizona State, Ohio State and Boston College are the 4 best teams in the nation right now. The 1 loss BCS teams are basically powerless until any of these teams lose.
You're kidding, I hope... are there people standing in their yards with signs??? ... I don't know of a team anywhere who wouldn't care who they played, as long as they got there. Especially OSU this year... they paid the ultimate price for their arrogance last year and I doubt if there's a player on that team that is "afraid" to lace 'em up.
I did not say the players. I was talking about my in-laws and co-workers. They are hoping for ASU not LSU. When I ask why they say it is not fair for LSU to be ranked above a no loss team such as ASU and the fact that they feel the SEC stronger. As far as I feel. I will take anyone anywere no matter who in the BCSCG.
If you really believe that, you need to get a clue. Had you put according to the BCS poll, I wouldn't question it. I don't think it was accidental that you left it out- I'm basing this on other posts as well. Your style is very easily recognized and your reasons for being here are becoming more and more apparent. You've been warned, I don't see you making the week here.
One of the 1 loss teams will stay ahead of Kansas. Easy. Ohio State has played 1 notable team. 1. Penn St. was suspect at best saturday. Michigan has been picking it up a bit. I hate to say it though. I think OSU has their first real test of the season against Mich. VT had BC trumped. They choked. I didn't see an offensive miracle.. I saw a defensive (and coaching) crap out. If they rematch I can't see BC winning again. :tigereye:
The big media message will be that the SEC is mediocre and overrated. The SEC took a real hit this weekend - UK losing to MOO U and getting physically dominated, Florida losing to UGA and giving up 42 points, South Carolina losing to UT which got trounced by CAL. If Oregon beats Arizona State and then USC finishes with no further losses, Oregon will jump us because ESPN will hype the PAC-10 so much that the voters will jump us and then the computers will jump Oregon ahead of us. Especially if the carnage in the SEC East continues.
