Too funny. If I remember right tOSU was ranked 11th in the first poll. Every team in front of them has lost. If you were #11 and everyone in front of you lost, what would you expect to be..... #9?? I have no idea who the best team is... could be Oregon for all I know. At this point in the season, I doubt if I'll lose much sleep over whoever the voters want to wave their magic wands at..... this thing has a ways to go.
Re: Kentucky vs. Florida I've seen the stats on this broken down & that is actually inaccurate (at least according to the break-down I saw).
Re: Kentucky vs. Florida I'd rather play UK in the CG, if we get there...so I'm rooting for them. However, if they do manage to beat LSU and UF back to back, and run all the way to the title game, I have to question my desire to play them - because that would be an amazing run and something you have to consider. @Arkansas USC LSU Florida @Georgia Tenn That's a tough schedule - if they make it through that I'm not so sure I want to play them anymore lol. I don't think they'll come out of it though - UF coming is rested and healthy and pissed about 2 losses, and will be more prepared than UK, and UK will be beat up from our game, and an emotional letdown is unavoidable (at least for the first little while of the game). The cards are stacked in favor of UF winning pretty easily, so if UK does pull it out I may revise my wish.
Re: Kentucky vs. Florida Correct. If my lil research is accurate, and I did it quickly, ONLY ONCE has the team who'd won the regular season game, failed to win the rematch- and it was us winning the rematch. 1999-Alabama beat Florida in the regular season game and in the SECCG. 2000-Florida beat Auburn in the regular season game and in the SECCG. 2001-Tennessee beat us in regular season game but we beat them in the SECCG. 2003-LSU beat Georgia in regular and SECCG. 2004-Auburn beat Tennessee in regular season game and SECCG.
Pulling for Kentucky so we can play them and get revenge on them in the SEC title game to show our only loss to them was a fluke. As Cowturd said.....nobody beats us on a neutral field.
I just want our team to focus on one team at a time and the rest will take care of itself. Lets see if we can take care of Auburn and then fcus on our next challenge. All this NC and SEC CG talk is just too premature. Long way to go before we even get close to clinching anything. I hope our team is focused on playing Auburn well and have their heads in this game. We need to be sharp. Which means no penalities. No Turnovers Block , catch , throw , and run well on offense and tackle, cover, and be aggresive on defense. We need to have a complete game. I dont think we have played a complete game since Virginia Tech. Oh and some fair officiating would be nice. Auburn has a way of getting the breaks from the officials.
FL has beaten UK 20 times in a row. What's the odds they make it 21? If UK ever had a chance to beat them wouldn't be this year? UK was banged up some, but there were no real injuries. FL has had two weeks to sit and stew of two losses. That's big. If UK were in FL, it would be big trouble for the Wildcats. At UK, I think it's a toss up. 50/50 I don't think the 3OT win was a fluke necassarily. They overcame a 10 point Deficit. Didn't allow any sacks(how many games had it been since LSU hadn't gotten at least one?). And the stats were pretty even. They sort of self destructed at SC, so it's not too far fetched that they could be 7-0 right now. I think overall, LSU is better and more Championship material. But UK can play ball sometimes when the want to.
Come on guys, surely you wouldn't side with a big 10 fan over fellow SEC schools. I know it was a monumental win that may not happen like that again but this UK team has a different swagger and personel than before. I'll holler back when I get back from the game. Go Cats and LSU Come on gu
