I dont know what McCarthy has been doing with these recievers. He better get his crap together and teach them how to catch.

I asked a guy that i graduated with this question. "Can you teach someone how to catch a football?" he says yes. I have the opinion that you either have hands or you don't. I asked them not because of LSU but his son was the QB for our high school and his receivers couldn't catch. 1 pass hit a WR in the FACEMASK and he didn't catch it. I talked to the QB the next day and he said the WR told him to throw the ball better. I told him "it hit him in the facemask! how can you throw it better?"

believe it or not, i find that most hs wrs who can't catch actually have undiagnosed sight problems... just like Dwayne Bowe... alot of the kids, especeially at inner city schools, just don't get eye checkups... we have a kid, runs a sub 4.3, burns the defense weekly, but hasn't caught a ball this year... he has trouble seeing the board in class, etc, but his mom won't take him to an eye doctor... says its too expensive (and she is too lazy to get him medicaid)...

Then hopefully Lafell and Mitchell will get eye checkups this offseason.

Maybe they need that GreatCatch tool that was made in LA. The one that makes them catch the ball with their hands.

But I didnt get why McManus was in the game over D.Byrd and T.Tolliver or any other scholarship player Ricky Dixon somebody.

Maybe Featherstone is available....or maybe he WAS in the game. Doesn't matter who throws the pass, if it hits the "receiver's" hands, it should be a catch. Isn't that why they call them "receivers"?:eek:ldskule:

Actually, he had 2 thrown his way. The one with the illegal touch penalty, and a deep one down the sideline that set up 1st and goal where he was called for offensive pass interence.

The loss of Early Doucet has really hurt us. It's taken away a huge chunk of our passing game.

LaFell will get better, but he's just not a #1 WR right now.

Our offense will improve a lot once Doucet is able to actually play.

Even though our receivers struggled, Flynn had several bad passes. Combine the 2 and we've got a poor passing game and we're a one dimensional offense.
