Just awful. My prayers go out to their families.

But, what I do not understand is why do people continue to not wear helmets after all the people who have been killed? Takes an extra 15 seconds, which in the end could save your life.

I cant understand why it isnt the law in Florida. Because of the weather, there are more bikers, per capita, in Florida than almost any other state. It just doesnt make sense to continue to watch people die because they arent forced to wear a helmet. The fact that he took someone else with him is even more disturbing.

Unless it very recently changed...it isn't a law in LA either. I agree though, it's crazy to ride without one, IMHO. To me, it's more important by far than putting on a seatbelt in a car...and I think that's important, too.

I think Blanco changed the law early in her office.

Big prayers sent to the family and team members of player and his friend.

I don't think there should be a law. The state shouldn't have to tell you not to do something dumb.

Possibly. I know it was under Foster that the no helmet law was implemented.

It was changed when Foster left.

Gotcha. I liked Mike, but I'm glad it was changed. It was HIM that wanted that law anyway...he likes to ride sans a hardhat.
