Friday: Finished my paper, called Tebow 20 times and went to bed.

Saturday: 6:30am, woke up an hour before my alarm. Got up showered and went to the store to buy ice, more liquor. Then I made my way to game. Saw that, tried to figure out how to play rugby, didn't work. So much hype in the air the whole week really, I was giddy with excitement.

I know I saw the band go down the hill, but I don't remember it that well, I don't think I could react, I was to damned focused on the game and thats after a few. Get in the game, sit in the seats me and my friend vowed not to sit in again and then witnessed, the Gators stomp on the tiger eye...big mistake.

The first half was kind of a blur. I knew we weren't playing bad and was getting concerned that we couldn't catch the ball, stop the slant, and we were making dumb mistakes. Then Tebow threw that crappy pass and they scored somehow. He preceded to taunt us with the cell phone thing, I laughed, but the same idiots who started the whole F-U Spurrior fiasco start and F-U Tebow chant I just yelled and didn't take part in the stuff and gave the freshman next to me a piece of my mind about chanting that, however, I think I said "That's the dumbest f***ing chant" to them so I don't think they took it serious. Anyway, now it's halftime, I get my hot dog in literally 30 seconds, because no one realizes that the guy on the sides sells more than just drinks.

Game starts again and LSU puts on a fantastic drive that leads to a Keiland Williams touchdown. Now I extremely pumped. I kept thinking back to 'Bama in 2005, down 10 at half and we just took over. Then some girl in front of me said that USC lost. I didn't really believe it so I told her that's great, but we need to win to make that relevant. (I probably should have got her number, she was cute) Then the craziest moment I have ever witnessed and will never forget. The moment to solidified this game as the best game ever in Tiger Stadium history. "Score from the Pac-10...Stanford 24, USC...23" It seemed like we were just yelling for 10 minutes. It was so loud and I knew the earth had to be shaking. Definitely in the coolest thing I have ever witnessed. It will be with me forever and I will tell recite that story everyday for the rest of my life to anyone that listens. Then the biggest buzzkill in the world. Tebow hit his WIDE OPEN reciever for a touchdown. Then we stalled. Now I'm getting worried.

My voice is nearly shot when recovered a fumble. YES!! YES!! YES!! That's all I could say. The defense put it in to overdrive but by the time I gained my confidence, the quarter was over and now it was crunch time. The band struck up the pre-game song and I caught my second wind. Now we're driving and we stall again. David comes on to kick and hooks it. That hurt. I tried to believe that we could comeback but, I didn't think we had the spark. I was wrong. Tebow was picked off. YES!! YES!! YES!! I catch my 3rd win. We got this thing now! We march down the field and score with relative ease. Next thing you no, our defense steps up big and gets a stop. Then we put on that great drive. It was a beautiful thing to see. that's when i started getting calls from my buddies up north. A majority of them are OSU fans so they hate Florida pretty passionately too. LSU is at the goal line for an eternity. By this time, most of the north end is watching the jumbotrons to their back to see the action. Talk about the suspense, the measurement time-outs killed me, especially with the terrible spot on the 4th and short. But, we scored and went crazy. It was all noise until Tebow's last heave to the endzone where it went dead quiet until it was knocked down. We won somehow and finally, all my former classmates envied my position.

I stay in the stadium for about 30 minutes to soak it in. Then, full of energy, walk the 1.5 miles to my apartment, calling everyone I know, almost gloating that I had witnessed, first hand, one of the greatest college football games in the history of the sport. Best night of my life and I will never forget it.

First game I have attended in Tiger Sadium in 5 years. I brought my brother, who has never been to Death Valley and HAS never considered himself a tiger fan.

After that experince Sat. night he has been converted. He loved it! He loved the campus, the tailgating before hand, the game was a classic, the crowd unbeleivable, and the celebration afterwards all over the campus and Baton Rouge was something that can not be put into words!!! He has attended football games in most conferences but never an SEC game at night. He is still talking about it to all his friends. I laugh when I hear him on the phone (we work together)..."it was crazy, it was insane, it was laud as hell..and it was a great freaking football game. Dude, you have got to see college football at LSU!"

That, my fellow Tiger FANatics is a qoute.

    GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!

Hey Meauxjeaux...next time try calling them right back and saying, "What was that Mom,you were cutting out..sorry. Mom? Mom? Wait I think my batteries must be dieing or something...Mom? Mom? Can you hear me? Oh well, I am not sure if you can hear me, cause I can't hear you so,Mom? Mom?,uh whatever it was you said hmm well, I didn't hear it. Hmmmm what to do? What to do? Oh well,I guess if it's an emergency you'll call the stadium and they'll have to page me,Gee what's up with this phone?" click Then turn it off. Say it all rapid fire and overly loud and don't let on that you can hear a thing. If you can fake a few beeps or staticky stuff all the better. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

That game was the best, most nerve wracking ,adrenaline rushing experience ever! We share season tickets in the West 45-50 with my husband's siblings and weren't lucky enough to "pull" this game, so we were prepared to watch from home. But lo and behold a friend called with 2 extra tickets and invited us to join him.We sat on the East side 20 yard line opposite the students. The view was even better than our usual seats. It must have been the height and the angle of the seats. It was fun because we knew lots of people in that area too.
I saw a couple of their players SPIT on the eye as they were jumping. I told my friend that they were going to regret that. I was waiting for the penalty for unsportsmanship or whatever...never got called.
These bug burly guys in front of us were getting hacked when we weren't playing well in the 1st quarter and started yelling at the fellow Tiger fans 2 rows down about standing up.Heck we were all standing up off and on...even them! They started cussing and this older guy near them tried to get them to calm down and one of them was getting hacked at him too. I had on my little Tiger Paw that is really cute (looks just like the mascot's) and I patted the mean guy on the back and had my two little Tiger paw fingers out in a peace symbol and was trying to lighten things up, but my husband stopped me. Whew it was tense there for a moment.
I liked when the students started yelling TYSON JACKSON,TYSON JACKSON. IT is really cool how they can get things going in unison even with hand gestures. Back when I was a student...we weren't nearly as group oriented and coordinated. I don't like the cussing, but love all their other stuff! I didn't even catch the F U Tebow stuff, maybe I was getting a coke.
The USC score was so cool, we had noticed it and after it was announced the whole stadium was one big party!
My voice is just now coming back and my little Tiger paw is fresh out of the laundry ready for the next game!:)
PS I also bring a big foam finger too and spank the opponents fans with it. They laugh and enjoy the "punishment". I only do this before games, since they wouldn't appreciate me spanking them after our team spanked theirs on the field.
PSS I have a long Tiger tail too,but haven't worn it lately. I think my husband or kids hid it. Before you know it, I'll be a fully dressed mascot.:hihi:
