South Carolina fans tick off Gameday crew w/ www.letsshowcorso.com

SC's approach to marketing is strange and will backfire on them. I hope their business school of marketing did not handle this. SC students beware.

As far as the ranking of school facilities....CRITERIA??? It's interesting how they don't mention this.

And I don't care if we are ranked last in the SEC by some unofficial school poll in the East division on a website called www.letsshowcorso.com. My Lord, what is going on at USC? The success of LSU's program speaks for itself. :thumb:

 

It sounds like Corso can dish it out, but he can't take it. When you make comments like he did, That SC couldn't win the SEC in 400 years, you have to be man enough to take a little too.

I guess they feel since they work for mighty ESPN, they can say whatever they want, but not get called on it.

They need to toughen up.

 

WTF is wrong with these people. He was saying it more of a joking manner and did not say anything about the program. He thinks they wont win, they think they will...Maybe Corso should boycott everything from SC. What a bunch of three year olds.

Plus, its not like he is going out on a limb.

 

I can see both sides of this and they are both being too sensitive.


ESPN has gotten to be too big a player in College Football to piss them off. I dont like it but it is the truth. They are connected to ABC which is in love with USC West.

SEC footballs attached to the CBS network and for some reason they dont go after the ESPN monopoly of Sat Morning College football coverage.

Fox could do something similar but havnt put the resources to it for some reason.

As LSU fans we have been where USC East is now lacking the respect and have spent years earning our due. This year we are finally reaping a few rewards by getting good press.

It requires us to keep the ball rolling each week and win the big games. We have a tough schedule but this is the year our tough games are mainly at home and i dont think we are gonna have trouble being ready for our away game at Alabama. If we do that LSU gets alot of good press from ESPN.


If USC East wants to get gameday and continue to gather respect they are going down a dangerous path.

These gameday people have long memories and i am glad they think fondly of their visits to Baton Rouge.

Gamecock fan here. Just thought you guys didn't really see what that whole message was about. That was Spurrier trying to get our fans to fork up more money to better our facilities/program. They just used Corso and Friends to get our fans pumped up so that we would pour in more money to the program (which is needed). He just points out that it has been said we couldn't beat those teams, can't recruit, and didn't have the FANBASE WILLING TO DO WHAT WAS NECCESSARY FINANCIALY TO GET US TO THE NEXT LEVEL. Pretty much hes saying we've accomplished all of those except the last point. Just a pitch to get more money into the program. ESPN just took it and used it the way they wanted. They didn't even give Corso a heads up that they were going to show it!! I thought the look on Corsos face was priceless. If you can't take it, don't dish it out. Anyway good luck this weekend against MTSU. There offense looked pretty good in the first half against lousiville, then they ran out of gas. As a gamecock fan I am really worried about our date with you. Since you've killed the two teams you've faced how do we know you all even showed what you truly have. Just a thought and I hope we can at least keep it close.
