Just watched the game. Could not see that play well from the stands. Pretty much all of his body except for one of his feet was over the goal line. That's a touchdown.
Definitely a touchdown. Also, isn't the replay official usually a local guy and not part of the traveling conference crew. The refs on the field can't determine if there will be a review, the booth calls down to tell them to hold up so they can take a closwer look.
No, it was in the South Endzone. I was sitting close to the goal line. He definitely did NOT score. They did not show the replay in the stadium. I do not begrudge them the TD, but I feel bad for the defense. They were really fired up and had the crowd really ROCKING!!!! My ears are still ringing.
the overhead cam (im guessing its one on cables and not from the blimp) gave the apperance that he scored..but it wasnt a good angle. i dont understand why they can't move that cam to be directly over the goaline in those situations...
If Tiger Bill was right there and he says they did not score then that's good enough for me. :tigerhead :thumb:
The annoying thing was that low goal line from the West side camera angle was the best angle to see the ball carrier and it was pretty much identical to what the ref on that side line saw. He was pretty sure that it was not a TD and he saw the whole thing in a lot better detail than a camera ever could. He had the ball behind him in his right arm and it never broke the plane. No way it should have been overrulled.
