Anyone else nervous about Doucet as a kick returner? I'd rather have Murphy or even scott doing that Doucet is very valuable..we cann't afford losing him :geauxtige
Re: Doucet Put your best return guy back there. If that's Doucet, fine. It's common to use your stud player as a return guy. DeSean Jackson comes to mind.
Re: Doucet I don't agree. If we had 3 other stud receivers then it would be OK. But nobody has stepped up yet behind him. He's too important, put someone else back there to return punts and kicks.

And what happens when the guy who isn't as reliable as Doucet muffs a kick or fumbles? I'm not wild about having Doucet back there, but there probably isn't a good alternative or I think the coaches would use it. (edit) - Trindon does seem like an obvious choice....????
I agree. Hell the kick cover team wouldn't even be able to see him if we set our wedges up right. Until its too late.... Speed kills
Re: Doucet But Early Doucet ain't no DeSean Jackson. Doucet is only average as a kick returner(Still shaky when catching returns) and I don't think it's necessary to put him back there when other players could fill the role instead.
Trindon will be back there, there are usually two kickoff returners with Doucet and Holliday our current ones.
Re: Doucet If Doucet is just average and the coaches keep putting him back there, what does that say about the other punt returners? Either they are worse or the coaches don't have a clue. I have no idea who is the best on this team, but I have no problem with our best player fielding punts.
