The link below is to the most active LSU Board, not necessarily the brightest folk post there, but you can't go 5 threads without Many people calling Miles names, questioning every detail of his coaching, his talking, speculating who will replace him - "Miles leaving is a blessing in disguise" - etc. It shows how different these LSU boards are. (I hope I am allowed to post this?)

I cruised that board one time and decided to stay away. You can tell a person by the company he keeps, or so it's been said.

We will see this year. The only place Miles leaves us for would be UM. Carr is gone after this season no matter what. IMO if we don't lose him this year we have him for as long as we will put up with him. If he can average 2 losses or less over a 10 year period i will do a hell of a lot more than "put up with him".

I really hope that we can keep him for 7 plus years, because he is a great recruiter and, while not the best coach, he is smart enough to surround himself with other top notch coaches to help him out. I cringe every time someone calls for Miles head. Yea, there are better coaches out there, but i don't know one that wouldn't just use us as a stepping stone for something else. We have an opportunity to have an elite program for the foreseeable future. You don't sustain that by junking the Porsche because it's not the right color. Why are so many eager to invite more change? Things are great right now. Why fix what ain't broken?

That is one of the things I like most about him. We have two of the best assistant coaches in the country!
