Don't cats tend to play with things they are about to kill? Looks like yall have a beautiful tiger, congrats. I'm just a little jealous. :thumb:
Wife and kids went to see him today and he really looked like he was enjoying the new home. Definitely young and energetic running around having a good time. Looks like they did indeed look for a tiger with personality and so far it looks like a great choice.
More the fact that i wish it was possible to have a live Elephant somewhere on Alabama's campus, but sadly there isn't enough space for a large bull elephant, plus the time and energy it would take to maintain, feed, and clean up after any size elephant just isn't cost effective...and i've always had a thing for big cats. I have family in Florence Alabama, UNA is located in Florence, their mascot is the lion, since the early 60's they have had a live Lion on campus, so since i was a wee little lad, i've always been able to go see leo and thought it was pretty cool. And besides tigers are just awesome looking animals. But we all know who would win in a fight between an Elephant and Tiger anyways. :thumb:
There's a USA Today article in one of the other subject lines about live mascots, which says UNA actually has two lions. But there cannot possibly be a cooler live mascot than Mike, just an incredibly beautiful animal.
