Tigerbait has a story up that says LSU has released it's depth chart. The 3rd & 4th WR are listed as Jared Mitchell & R.J. Jackson. This is very suprising to me. Jared missed quite a bit of practice due to injury & baseball. R.J. Jackson was the highly regarded RB out of Texas that was injured and has only seen the field once or twice so far in his career with no statistics. Both of these guys were great athletes in highschool, and it will be interesting to see how they play at WR against Miss St. Second string Oline has 3 true freshmen, including Jarvis Jones at LT, Dwayorscyk (sp?)at RG, and Barksdale at RT.
Jacob Hester, like red pointed out earlier, cause of his hard running and great hands out of the backfield and experience. Keiland Williams, Charles Scott and Richard Murphy are listed even behind Hester at the running back position. The backups to Early Doucet and Brandon LaFell at wide receiver are Jared Mitchell and R.J. Jackson. No decision on kickoffs yet but Colt David will handle field goal and extra point attempts and Patrick Fisher will punt. Early Doucet will pull double duty as a kickoff and punt returner. Trindon Holliday and Doucet on kickoffs. Expect to see Joseph Barksdale too. Miles is very impressed with what he sees from “Second team Oline”.
TB says we've released our depth chart to the public yet the story is premium content. When will it filter down to us peons here?

Why???? If Doucet gets injured we are screwed. Im sure there is somebody else able to return punts and kicks.
With that logic, I guess we shouldn't let Flynn QB?? J/P Injuries happen, you have to field the players that give you the best chance to win the game in any given situation(s) or Miles will be screwed.......sometimes even if he wins. FWIW, I don't think Miss St. will be kicking off too many times anyway.
Lots of seniors on defense. Still don't like Hester starting at TB, but maybe it's just a formality. We need a breakaway threat to support the passing game - could be the difference between 12-1 and 13-0. I admit it - I'm greedy. _________________ lsutigerbait.blogspot.com
Man, you lost me with this one. Huh? I'm happy for my boy RJ!!! :thumb:I know his momma will go NUTS when he catches that first pass. What a great mom/son combo.
