From Tidefans: Hope he was given a choice. I personally think he should go this route, but it should be his choice. Best of luck to him. http://tidefans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59575
Have you seen his leg? How in the hell could he not be medical? I think he should be thankful, he is still on scholarship and with the team.
He's one of those guys who had so much talent that you just respected him even if he played for a rival team. Hope things work out for him in the end.
I almost puked when he got injured... I hate to see someone get hurt like that, especially someone who had such tremendous potential. I mean wasn't he the guy that caught that pass behind the other players head a few weeks before? To date that's the most amazing catch I've ever seen (including the bluegrass miracle)...
this one? This is strictly rumor but i heard from someone that he has been running but still having trouble on his cuts, Coach Saban said they have a plan for him medically and he will able for another year of eligibility, i would love to see him play again. I hope that he does not feel the pressure from fans and that he knows that it is his choice and his choice alone to come back and play again.
While he is very talented and was a huge part of our one good season under Coach Shula, I would hope he finishes school and walks away. I just can't see him ever playing football again and would rather not chance another injury that could well leave him crippled.
TP has been running and working out but still has a slight limp and trouble running routs at full speed.
Of course he was given a choice. All four players who were moved to the "inactive status" discussed it with the coaches and agreed it was the best move for them. FWIW, since his injury, his doctor has stated his chances of returning to the playing field were small. If things go the way I think they will, I expect to see Ty end up as a GA and move into coaching much like we have seen with AC Carter.
