    NO college QB is ready for the NFL as a rookie. The vast majority aren't really ready after one year on the bench either. Rivers broke the NCAA record for games started, yet still benefited from sitting behind Brees.

    If you're alluding to Quinn, that's pretty funny. He's no more NFL ready than other college QBs. Most teams simply don't have the luxury of not forcing the young guy in before he's ready.

    id say carson palmer agrees with this luxury. he was about as ready as you could expect from a rookie yet got to sit his first year. certainly, it would be best if jr gets to adapt to the speed of the guy by being an onlooker first.

    BQ played in a pro-style offense the past two years, and was tutored by a NFL offensive genius, the same guy who taught Tom Brady. That would make BQ further along developmentally than other college QBs who played a more rudimentary, elementary style of offense where they just chucked the ball and hoped their WRs could pull down those passes.
