Yea, if you have a 16 team playoff, # 17 will cry like beotches.:hihi: But you gotta cut it somewhere.
Wait a second, you're about 40 years old and wearing a Mexican wrestler LSU mask? :hihi: Just kiddin' ya. Kudos to you and your boy on completely derailing this thread, there's definitely an art to it. :thumb: That's the beauty of Forums like this though. As for the NY Post article, I'll believe it when I see it. I like the four team idea, and just hope it doesn't open the door to an 8 team playoff. I don't really feel like typing all my playoff thoughts now, but suffice to say, a "plus one" is the way to go, IMO.
I am ABOUT 40 years old (not yet, in other words), and it's my youngest son wearing the mask. (I'm still laughling at the Mexican wrestler comment!) It's some silly thing he made in art class at school. Please forgive the bombing of the thread. I hardly ever get time to respond to this board, but I'm on vacation and was checking it out. And to actually have someone on here from OAKDALE makes it interesting. (Sadly, this is the kind of stuff that passes for entertainment when you're my age.) I also vote for the 4 team playoff
That's much better than the garbage art that most kids put out at that age. At least this one has a legit purpose. I wasn't blasting you about hijacking the thread, I thought it was great. It's cool to see 75% of the population of Oakdale posting on TF at about the same time. :hihi:
The problem with this hypothetical situation is it would require the SEC offices to re-work their bowl alliances. Considering the $, I can't see that happening without things really being shuffled. Under our current agreement, the SECC heads to the Sugar and unless they shuffled that, it would mean (like it is currently) the loser of the SECCG heads to the Capital One bowl. Emphasis on Post! As in, the National Enquirer of modern day "journalism."
it seems like it will unusual for the sec to get two in. a scenario like last year would have to happen, because late season losses (particularly the last week) are heavily penalized, so the seccg loser will not get in (Ark). typically the best (highest nationally ranked) team from each sec div gets in the seccg. i prefer the 8 or 16 team playoff specifically to get around the bias against the #2 team from a conf. screw the bowls.
