1. So, you are saying bitter is bi-polar? Half of his attn. on his *pretty boys* playing QB and the other half on the CiC trophy?

That explains a lot...yes, it does.
  2. I record or listen to his show nearly everyday. I put up what I recorded sometime last week of what Colin said about Les Miles RE: SEC vs PAC10. I was kind of surprised with his opinion.

Also, I edited the recording of today's show (the one this thread is about, top 10 teams over the decade), no commercials. There was three segments. I put them up in the other thread, in order to save time I'll just link to that.

  3. USC's 3-Peat doesn't count?
  4. Of course not. But after 2003 when both teams talked about having a shot at each other, we showed up 2x in the NC game. Where were you? :hihi:

Honestly, don't ya'll think that LSU v USC last January would have been a better game than Florida v aOSU?
  5. Depends on which JDB would have shown up.

Some of us down here had Rose Bowl tickets bought, but nobody wanted to see USC-ND or Mich-ND again, so the matchups played out like they did. Even though Michigan's played in the rose bowl how many times now? :(
  6. Maisel and Forde say Miles hasn't maintained the program at the level saban had it, are they crazy? Did LSU not just have back to back 11 win seasons with BCS bowl blowouts? Aren't they in every single top five for the upcoming season? Simply amazing and mind boggling to say the least.

  7. Blowout.
  8. Good pick for Colin. He likes to make a smart somewhat unpopular pick. Gosh if our Tigers win a 2nd BCS NC we will be the only team to have accomplished that in the past 10 years, right? I think that would put us at the top with the two great years we just finished.

    :crystal::crystal:
  9. Jeez mobius, you had to look that up on wiki?

  10. I saw this elsewhere and did a little record research on the College Football Data Warehouse site. This is just straight W-L records over the last 10 seasons for the 10 teams that were mentioned:

    OSU - 97-28 - 77.6%
    Michigan - 96-28 - 77.4%
    Texas - 97-29 - 77.0%
    Miami - 94-29 - 76.4%
    FSU - 96-31 - 75.6%
    Florida - 94-32 - 74.6%
    Oklahoma - 95-33 - 74.2%
    USC - 90-35 - 72.0%
    LSU - 86-38 - 69.4%
    Auburn - 84-40 - 67.7%

FSU, OSU, Florida, Michigan did not have a losing season in that period. Texas & Oklahoma had losing seasons in the 1st and 1st & 2nd years of the period and would move up next year based on that.

IMO things like MNCs, conference titles and big wins over top 5-10 teams should also factor in. OSU has some of those plus the winning % and no losing seasons, so I'd pick them #1. Of course 98 & 99 plus 5 losses in 2002 drag down LSU a bunch so I wouldn't put us quite in the top 5 over 10 years, but from 2000 on, definitely.
