1. There is a USC forum opening that will be going to Vbulletin like this one. Vball is one of the one's working real closely with the programers/programing. Hector and I have been invited as "Beta testers"/trouble-makers  . It will be opening soon and is run by a man who is a lot like Brett in terms of character, etc.
  2. Oh no, 1st it was the AP trophy and now the format of Tigerforums.:hihi:
  3. Potted Plant:

First off, welcome from another noob to TigerDen. I think, and hope, you'll find this forum to be light years better than any other LSU-oriebted forum you've ever been on. I have.

Most posters here are knowledable, insightful, humorous and respectful, even when they disagree. Given my primary allegiance to USC, it's safe to say there's been a fair amount of disagreement with me on certain topics, but in general I can't complain about the "treatment" I've been given

Tiga's absolutely right about our new forum. The old venue was being neglected, not by our own publisher and staff, but by the network owners.

We are very lucky to have a publisher who cares enough to want to give us the very best possible and I think uscvball and Tiga's infuence with him were the first level of confidence in the format you folks use so well here that he decided to pursue it further.

It's very exciting for the old-timers at WeAreSC who have seen the board-quality deteriorate over the years even though membership and interest has remained quite high. (Someone told me we have about 20,000 members?, but vball can verify that if she chooses to.)

Anyway, when it's up and running, I'm sure we'd welcome any of you who might care to come and meet some pretty decent CFB fans on the "other side" of the country.

It's early on a beautiful Saturday morning here in Hawaii right now, so I'm headed for the beach and later a graduation party for a nice kid who leaves for D-1 football summer camp at Cal in a few weeks. Man, is he EXCITED!

I don't know how y'all celebrate graduations there, but here in Hawaii it's a really big deal. There'll be about 350 guests, several live bands, dancing til the wee hours (and a few thousand beers, too.) and authentic hawaiian luau food.

I'm sure I'll need every minute of Father's Day to recover and every drop of that Alka-Seltzer cocktail tomorrow morning ...

Thanks for the mention 'Tiga and have a great weekend, Tigers!!
  4. You know that old saying about the company you keep; I do believe that you will find this board will bring out the best in you (at least in the area of being a sports fan, you may start to neglect other important roles:) ). There is room for the witty, the informed, and those members of our family who just enjoy the camaraderie.

I dare say you wouldn't know a mod was a mod here unless you were just trying to be disrespectful or abusing this forum that Brett has graciously provided for us. If you have lurked for a while, show your support and contribute. It isn't much, a trip to Sonic can cost more than a year's worth of interaction at this site. Certainly, it is the simplest way to show our graditutde.

  5. Hey, Welcome to the board from another "foreigner" This is one of the few boards I post on these days, due to all the stuff that others have posted on this thread. Definitely a couple steps above most boards.

As long as I'm on here today, Happy Fathers Day to the dads out there.

About that new USC board I think I may have to wait until my boys beat them this century to go over there and run my mouth....lol

  6. Welcome aboard. This LSU forum is the perfect size. It's not too busy where posts get lost in a sea of responses.

I've caught grief here many times before because I'm also a huge Oklahoma fan and have more posts at Soonerfans.com because I personally know many over there, but my number one team BY FAR is LSU.

I've had run ins with several here but in reality almost all the guys and gals here are good and decent people and represent LSU in a great way.

You'll catch flak if you're controversial but you'll always be welcome unless you are a complete whack job.

I hope to get to some games this year, which has been awhile for personal reasons, but I do want to hook up and meet and greet some I've spoken here with for the past few years.

Yes, even those I've had run ins with. I figure after a few beers and some grilled meat we can iron out our past differences and become good friends.

  7. Don, it's not really a "new" board. WeAreSC.com is leaving the Scout network to join ESPN as have OUInsider, Bucknuts, and SwampGas. I believe there will be more to follow. No need to wait for a victory to visit. You would be welcome to come and talk football anytime.

  8. Welcome to the board .

And as for USCVBALL . I still dont like California's fourth professional team. He He :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: .

  10. And Hawker! They beat us on a last second play a couple years ago, and he hangs out here to gloat ever since! Just kidding, he's tops!
