Many of you probably have already seen these in a different form. I made it awhile back. It came in standard, 4:3 ratio, and widescreen, 16:10 ratio (16:10 is widescreen for computers anyway, I'm aware that 16:9 is film/HDTV widescreen). There were a few minor details that I've been meaning to take care of and had a little time and interest today to finally do it. If you know what resolution works best on your computer or just want to download the pics, skip to the bottom, below is a somewhat detailed list of what was changed for anyone that's interested or even remembers the older version from a few months ago:

    1. Changed color of "DEATH VALLEY" from purple to gold. Looks and stands out better now.

    2. Changed the glow of both "DEATH VALLEY" and "LSU TIGERS" so that it's tighter to the text and less "diffused". Looks a bit better, IMO.

    3. Fixed the dates of Middle Tenn, Miss State, and Arkansas to their current and hopefully final dates (MSU moved to the opener on thursday august 30th, Arkansas is now changed back to Friday Nov 23rd as opposed to Saturday Nov 24th now that LSU lists it on the 23rd also.)

    4. Changed the font and reformatted the text of the schedule to be much more readable and look better. I'll give credit to LSUSports.net 2007 wallpaper for the idea to make the dates a different color to enhance readability.

    5. Cleared out the area of the glowing tiger eyes. It practically seems as if your computer screen is trying to stare you down now. Before there was a lot of artifact from other parts of the image interfering with the eyes, I think it looks better now.

    6. Made the overall "tiger fur" and "purple tone" less apparent. It was too much purple in the original. Part of the reason for this was I cut some corners when trying to emphasize the eyes and this was simply a side effect of that.

    7. Although in reality the image is really only native at one size, I went back to older versions, resized the fewest number of elements in the image using the best scaling algorithm, and finished them up at the sizes posted below (In other words, the text hasn't lost any sharpness due to scaling, and neither has many of the other parts.)

    8. Due to #7 each size is actually slightly different, sometimes in ways that are practically unnoticeable and sometimes obvious (see #9,10).

    9. In the original widescreen version there was a hand holding an LSU helmet between Early and the 3 guys smothering that Arizona QB, now there is either an image of Hester or Charles Scott in its place (None of this pertains to the 4:3 ratio versions)

    10. In the widescreen version I made two types, one that was like the original that had Charles Scott top & center flexing with Hester replacing the helmet on the bottom, and the other with Coach Miles top & center with Scott on the bottom where the helmet formerly was (Again, only on the widescreen version, no room to do this on the standard 4:3 versions, upgrade to a better monitor :thumb: )

I chose the the resolutions I did because they seem to be the most common/popular ones out there and even if you don't exactly match them I'm sure one is a very close fit that the "stretch" effect Windows will put on it to fill the screen will be minimal.

1024x768 is probably the most common resolution out there. Common on standard 4:3 displays up to 17" and notebooks without widescreens.

1280x800 is a common widescreen display resolution for notebook computers.

1680x1050 is a common desktop widescreen resolution on 20" and 22" displays.

1280x1024, I'm not sure why I came up with this size. Apparently some displays use this but it seems an odd resolution to me.

1152x864, a standard 4:3 resolution for those of you that have standard displays larger than 1024x768.

I'll post them without schedules in a little bit.
