    I disagree.

The players that were shooting a decent amount of shots from there won't even notice the difference. Every player in warmups and in practice shoots them from 2 feet behind the line.

That distance takes no more skill, just more legs.

yeah, but warm ups aren't after running up and down the court for two halves either. At the end of the game I'd bet most 3 point shots are taken with in a foot of the line.

I like the fact that the college kids shoot the 3. The short 3 point line is a great equalizer for the smaller schools that are outmatched athletically.

I am with you on this .

I think what Pistol Pete woulda done with the 3 pointer.

They should start new record books when they make huge changes in the game like this.

And LSU's three point percentage will go down even further in 2008...

Three things that would make college basketball much better besides the threepoint line...

    1. Adopt the international trapezoid lane. We are the only country in the world that uses the small lane. The international game is much more exciting.

    2. Make College Basketball a one semester sport. Make the season start practicing the last day that Fall Semester grades are out. Freshman would have to pass a certain amount of hours to be eligible to play in their first year. This would make the season start in January. You would not have the competition with football and you could end the season at the end of April. Might have to change the name from March Madness to April Adnormality (ok the thesauras wasn't all that good coming up with a name.

    3. Cut back on televised games. Too many games on TV and the fans and students can get very lazy and not go to games.

Unlike the zone defense rules in the NBA, the college defenders don't have to stay out of the lane.
