1. I know a number of active duty military LSU fans, and we are all big fans of Dandy Don and his website, because it brings a little bit of home to us even when we are far away.

    Thanks Dandy Don.

    :crystal:
  2. Im on board with the majority here, Dandy is a great fan. He spends much of his time gathering info to post on his site so that other fans can enjoy the info. And for that I am very appreciative

But I will be the first to admit that I dont agree with all of his input/analysis, but then again I generally just do a quick read and if there is nothing that catches my eye I move on. But I think it is very poor taste to bash a man that tries to keep us all up to date on the latest info on the Tigahs.
  3. I support Dandy Don. It is what it is, and its worth my little contribution, to me.
  4. I'm confused. How did this thread get dragged kicking and screaming out of april?
  5. Jeff,

Dandy Don Long is a good man and the most faithful LSU fan I know. Give him a break, he tries hard and his passion is LSU. Be kind. What difference does it make?

Don is a good man. Lighten up. Now shame on you, go back to your corner and no TV or computer the rest of the night.

And if you don't like that, you can't go anywhere this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. i'll tell you exactly why you're a fool and don't understand anything about dandydon.

a big thing that happened a couple years ago was kw committed, silently, to les miles. dandydon reported it because kw told him personally that he had committed. then none of the recruiting services backed it up.

dd had egg on his face, only because of people like you, and had to tone down the amount of times he tried to break a story.

later on that year at the recruiting bash kw didn't turn in his loi. mike scarborough, on the other hand, reported everyday saying that kw had faxed in his papers and everyday but the last one mike was wrong.

so here's where the "you're a fool" part comes in. you would pay how much money a week because you're an information hound to those recruiting services? and yet still, you wouldn't be getting much inside information at all.

dd provides a free service with information that is just as accurate, gives you nearly word-for-word accounts of his interviews with future prospects, and also helps out everyone who reads his site by posting those reader comments for crawfish boils, group game watches, etc across the country.

he also doesn't like basketball much and is pretty open about it.

now you, on the other hand, are just some loser that has nothing better to do than talk crap about a 70+ year old man who has had his blog since 96. how many recruiting services, much less free recruiting services, have existed since then?

but maybe you're right. maybe he is living a fat cat life driving around in his 10 year old beat up green ford pickup truck.

    *edit*
man i didn't realize this thread was so old, but hey, let's save this reply of mine so i can just copy and paste next time some jerk comes in here with this crap again.

  7. don has an interesting day job. he's a meat inspector.
  8. He's retired.
  9. I don't remember this as far as Dandy is concerned, but KW was planning on committing to USC up until signing day (according to him) so I really doubt he personally told DD that he was secretly committed to LSU.

However, there have been times when Don has broken a story before the other services, like with Kellen Theriot. I believe DD knows Kellen's dad or something.
