If anyone on the board attended the Friday night or Saturday afternoon game, what is your impression? Does this team seem to be maturing or are these two wins more the result of Ole Miss problems and playing on the road. From the stats of today's game it looks like the Tigers played well. They did not strike out a lot of Rebels but the pitching kept the ball in play and the Tigers made plays and had some timely hits. Just wondering if any of you who attend one or both games might be willing to share your impressions. ldskule: :tigbas:
Re: LSU vs Ole Miss we played great today and the team seems to be coming together. we need to stick with this line up.
Re: LSU vs Ole Miss I went on Friday and because our pitchers are keeping teams off track our hitting can feel comfortable and then the crowd gets in it. After the crowd the players get entergized and play with alot of passion.
Re: LSU vs Ole Miss Not to be the pessimist here but Ole Miss blew a myriad of chances Friday night. How much of that had to do with LSU playing GREAT? I don't know, probably a lot. But kudos to the team for capitalizing on Ole Miss mistakes. Maybe this is the confidence-booster that they need. Remember LSU teams of the past that started playing great ball at the right time? Keep the faith guys, keep the faith!
Re: LSU vs Ole Miss Not to be argumentative but how many games did we lose because of the same reason? It is part of the game........good teams put teams away and don't turn momentum with mickey mouse routine plays like we did in some of those loses. :thumb:
Thanks for the responses. Lets hope the Tigers can finish a series sweep today. It has been a while since we had an SEC sweep and that would be great for us fans and a real boost for the Tigers. ldskule: :tigbas:
Re: LSU vs Ole Miss Which is why I said congrats to LSU for capitalizing on Ole Miss mistakes. To be fair, it has happened to LSU all season where they have not been able to capitalize on the other team's mistakes.
This team can finish SEC play with a winning record. That is quite an accomplishment considering the not so hot performances of guys like Wag, Dirks, Mayer, and Coleman and Mayer to date. I like the line up we had this weekend. CJ looks to have some swagger back. Dean and Ochinko are on fire, and Nick Pontiff is sure playing with a chip on his shoulder.
