Early Doucet for Heismann?

What do you guys think of Doucet's chances at getting the Heismann this year? Clearly he's the biggest weapon on offense we have and he will be the go to guy.

The top contenders next year are McFadden, Colt Brennan, White/Slaton, Brian Brohm, and Hart from Michigan.

Do you guys think he should be placed in there? Or is it just too hard for a WR to win the Heismann (only 3 WRs, Johnny Rogers, Tim Brown and Desmond Howard, have won it)?

I guess both, being a WR and the competition. But I do believe he should be at least considered in the race.

He won't get the numbers...if Josh Reed didn't win it with like 1700 receiving yards and a crap load of catches, he doesn't have a chance. If we are #1 or #2 during the season, Flynn will have a chance.

Peter Warrick also won the Heisman. It will take a few jaw dropping plays for Early.

Let's see what kind of a year he has, but his chances are not very good.

Peter Warrick didn't win the Heisman. Ron Dayne won that year.

Too many weapons on the LSU offense to stand out for the heisman especially in Crowton's offense that likes to spread the ball around.

Not a chance in the world...even if he deserves it.
