    Peeved? Please.

I'll admit, guys like Melick tend to grate on my nerves because of the simple "flat truths and well-thought out lies." I would suspect that you would rather have someone tell you what isn't true than follow a reporter's agenda?

I don't deny there were a few people that turned down Saban. We've talked about them here.

Red mentioned a conversation we had concerning Saban. I recall his first year at LSU when 5-6 asst. coaches weren't there for year two. Personally, if an asst. can't handle it, I don't have a problem with them moving on. Fact is, if the last staff (HC) would have had the same attitude chances are results would have been different.

    Fisher and Dabo.

You know the story about Fisher and the buyout. I've known Dabo for years now...there were two reasons he didn't leave Clemson, both very legitimate and neither had a thing to do with Saban.

    Terry,

Heard anything about D Craig being brought in as a GA? That would give you 2 of the good guys on your staff.

If that guy is Burton Burns, he has never shown any love for LSU. I believe Saban was interested in hiring him at LSU and was turned down.

Kitchens wasn't approached? I don't know if he was ever offered, but I thought they talked to him.

There was an interview with Dabo on the radio in Birmingham yesterday or the day before. He explained why he stayed at Clemson (loyalty and the situation at Clemson), so I wouldn't disagree with your statement. I figure he'll end up back there one day, just not now.
